Verified: Stan Parrish is the new EMU football offensive coordinator
I haven’t seen a press release, but Stan Parrish is now listed on the EMU football roster, and his biography linked from the roster reads like a press release:
Stan Parrish, who has 36 years of coaching experience on the collegiate and NFL levels, has been named offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Eastern Michigan University, Head Coach Ron English announced Monday, Jan. 7, 2013. Parrish, who most recently served as head coach at Ball State University from 2008-10, has worked with numerous quarterbacks at the college level that went on to play in the NFL, including Tom Brady, Nate Davis, Brian Griese and Drew Henson.
“Stan Parrish brings a wealth of knowledge to the program,” said English. “I am excited about his ability to move and score the football, and we are very fortunate to have someone with his experience on the staff.”
The bio goes on to list Parrish’s extensive experience, which we discussed the other day, though it makes no mention of his record as a Division I-A/FBS head coach: 8-49-1.
So, there you go. Stan Parrish. What do you think?
…and there’s the press release.
I think we’ll be fine with Parrish. I’m already looking forward to Spring Ball.
Although I voted for the first option, I tink realistically English could have done worse. We have a tendency to be pessimistic but, here we should be positive bsaed on Parrish’s history with the offense.
