Siena Heights Saints preview and open thread
This afternoon, the EMU men’s basketball team returns to the Convocation Center for their last game of the year, a should-be-exhibition matchup against the Siena Heights Saints. Because it is a should-be-exhibition game, I’m going to keep this preview short and to the point.
The Saints play in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, the NAIA league that’s also home to Michigan-Dearborn and Madonna, teams that the Eagles beat by 44 and 18 points respectively. EMU and Siena Heights have no prior opponents in common, but it’s worth noting that a week-and-a-half ago the Saints lost at Toledo, 98-58.1
As you can guess, this is a game that the Eagles should win handily. Siena Heights is currently ninth in the WHAC standings, just ahead of Michigan-Dearborn. I think anything less than a thirty point win in this game is cause for concern.
- Toledo called it an exhibition game, by the way. [↩]
